6

Friday, April 17th--Dad met us at home when we returned from the zoo and we were able to celebrate Nathan's birthday.
Nathan wanted a lot of different food items for his birthday dinner.  This is coming from the boy who earned the nickname "The Picky One" in America because he didn't like anything that we ever ate.  Nathan loves Japanese food, however, and eats quite a bit of food now.  He wanted sushi, gyoza, karaage, fresh fruit and broccoli.
He had a chocolate cake for dessert, and wanted Choco Pies to put on top of them.  He didn't really know how he wanted it decorated, but decided to get some Hero Factory toys and we washed them and placed them on top.  He was pretty excited about how it looked....and that he got Choco Pies on top.
We sang "Happy Birthday".....

....and he blew out all of his candles!
Next, came presents.  We played "Heavy, Heavy Hangover".

He got two dinosaurs, a package of cookies, some blueberry milk (soo good!)....
...and his tea set!  His tea set is unique because it has lids for the cups.  He really likes it because it's orange and that's his favorite color.  Happy birthday, Mr. Nathan David!  We love your infectious smile and your zest for life!
