Japan's Supreme Court

One of Raymond's classes went on a field trip to Japan's Supreme Court.  He was allowed to take pictures while he was there, but the class was told that under no circumstances were they allowed to put them on the internet in any way.  No email, no blogs, etc.  So, these are pictures that I found on the internet that closely match what he took with our camera.

The courtroom has a huge skylight above it.  It is there for aesthetic purposes, but also to light up the courtroom naturally, reducing energy bills.  Raymond said it was beautiful.
There are four paintings in the room.  The two in this picture are representations of the sun.  In the back of the room, there are two paintings that represent the moon.  I couldn't find a picture of them on the internet, but they are very beautiful as well.
He loved being able to go inside Japan's Supreme Court!
