Sakura season is a short, but simply spectacular, time in Japan! We hit the blossom viewing hard and only had one regret.....which came when the blossoms began to fade and this season came to an end. No more would we see Audra put her arms out wide and sing as she spun around, "Flowers everywhere! My flowers are everywhere!" while we were out enjoying the blossoms. How blessed we are that we were able to be in this country during this time of year. Here are the kids' favorite places for seeing sakura:
Caitlin: Ueno Park and Shinjuku Gardens
Tayla: Shinjuku Gardens and Chiyoda/palace moat
Christopher: Shinjuku Gardens, Chiyoda/palace moat, and the park that we went to on Sunday night
Logan: Shinjuku Gardens and Chiyoda/palace moat
Nathan: Ueno Park
Audra: park that we went to on Sunday night, because there were pink lanterns and they were lit up pretty, and her castle was there....and now it's lost and we have to find it!
